WRITING
I attended the USC film school with the intention of becoming a screenwriter, under the misapprehension that the writer controls the filmmaking process. Boy, was I wrong. I learned the art of visual storytelling (and I'm still learning), but I still consider myself a writer first, and director second.
Below are a couple of writing samples, followed by some clips from shorts I wrote. Also, be sure to check out my blog, which is generally humorous anecdotes from my daily life.
WHEN SORORITY GIRLS ATTACK I co-directed this in a college for a class. I wrote the story, and then the whole crew worked together to throw in as many jokes as we could. The pacing could be quicker, and the cinematography isn't great, but the jokes still play, I think, which is the most important part. |

GOOD INTENTIONS - The Couch Scene Good Intentions is about a demon who has escaped Hell and taken on a human form. In this scene, the demon, Warren, hasn't yet told his human girlfriend, Gwen, of his true identity, or that he has spent eternity torturing humans. |

GOOD INTENTIONS - The Torture Scene This scene was meant, in the larger film, to demonstrate that while Warren has lost his taste for torture, he hasn't lost his skill. The angels have kidnapped his girlfriend, and he'll do anything to get her back. |
